I take a more holistic approach, integrating natural herbal extracts into soaks and utilizing organic creams and lotions. I am able to provide this service in a client home or care facility by appointment only.

Hello! My name is Sheryl and I am a Registered Nurse with nearly 30 years experience in a variety of healthcare settings, seven of those years as a Registered Nurse. My background includes: Family Practice; Urgent Care; Rheumatology; Administrative; Orthopedic and Spine; Cardiac; and Surgical (preoperative and postoperative) care.

Working in multiple healthcare settings has revealed a number of medical issues that ‘fall through the cracks’. These gaps in the healthcare system are often difficult to manage due to the fact that insurance companies decide what types of care or treatments are covered and for whom. Well, I’ve decided to do something about at least one of these gaps!

Foot and toenail care is an issue that is often not managed well. Overgrown toenails can lead to difficulty wearing shoes comfortably, or walking issues. Calluses, cracked heels, corns, and fungal infections also become difficult to manage and can cause pain. Pain leads to decreased independence and mobility.

Most primary care physicians do not manage foot care, they instead refer patients to a podiatrist. Podiatrists are limited in number and typically refer patients to get pedicures at a spa/salon, unless the patient has a serious need and compromising health condition. Some medical conditions should not seek a pedicure at a typical spa/salon, such as individuals with Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure or Onychomycosis (fungal nail infections) because they lack the knowledge and skill required to safely manage foot care complicated by such conditions.

This is where I come in! I have the medical skills, education and experience that isn’t available at a regular spa or salon. I would like to help provide this care to you or your loved one in order to maintain that mobility and independence. My goal is to help individuals with physical or visual limitations or disabilities that impact their quality of life. This passion stems from watching multiple family members endure loss of independence and trying to help them find resources.
